Terms of Use and Privacy Notice

1) Purpose

This app is intended to support face-to-face communication in situations where communication may be difficult due to hearing difficulties, speech difficulties, language differences, or similar circumstances.

The app can be used offline. However, depending on Apple’s speech recognition and translation systems, speech recognition and/or translation may be processed on Apple servers in some cases.

2) Supported Devices and Requirements

• iPad (recommended due to the larger display)
• iPadOS 18 or later
• iPhone (landscape orientation is recommended because of the smaller screen size)
• iOS 18 or later
• Apple Pencil is optional but useful

3) Prohibited Uses (Important)

This app must not be used for high-risk purposes.

• Medical purposes, including diagnosis, treatment, medication, informed consent, or communication of medical instructions
• Emergency or safety purposes, including emergency calls, evacuation instructions, disaster response, accident response, or decisions/instructions involving life or physical safety
• Financial purposes, including investment decisions, money transfers, payments, tax, accounting, or insurance decisions
• Legal purposes, including legal advice, final decisions on contracts, disputes, or litigation

This app is not intended for important decisions, advice, diagnosis, procedures, or instructions in the areas above. Use for these purposes is prohibited. Please consult a qualified professional when necessary.

4) Accuracy Notice (Speech-to-Text / Translation)

• Microphone input may not be transcribed accurately due to background noise, unclear speech, speaking style, environment, or other factors.
• Translation results may contain errors, omissions, incomplete wording, or unnatural expressions.
• Users must carefully review the displayed results before relying on them.

5) Sensitive Personal Information (Do Not Display)

To help prevent privacy and security incidents, do not enter or display highly sensitive personal information such as:

• Name, date of birth, address, or phone number
• Bank name or bank account number
• Credit or debit card number
• Password, PIN, or security code

6) Consent When Handling Personal Information

If personal information is displayed on the screen, consent from the other person is required. If the other person does not have the legal capacity to consent, consent from a legal representative, guardian, or similar person is required.

7) Sharing Screen Captures or Screen Recordings with Third Parties Is Prohibited

Screen captures, including screenshots and screen recordings, may lead to unintended information leakage if a device is lost, stolen, or becomes inaccessible to the device user.

This app may not be able to completely prevent such risks. Please take great care not to display sensitive information, and obtain the other person’s consent when necessary.

8) Apple Services (Speech Recognition / Translation)

This app may use speech recognition and/or translation functions provided by Apple. Depending on device settings and usage conditions, even when processing may occur on the device, audio and/or text may also be processed on Apple servers to perform these functions.

The developer cannot control Apple’s processing methods.

9) Developer-Operated Servers

The developer does not operate servers for intentionally uploading or storing conversation content. The developer does not collect screen-displayed content.

However, as stated above, Apple services may process audio and/or text for speech recognition and/or translation.

10) Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this app, including reliance on incorrect transcription or translation, procedural delays, indirect damages, or lost profits.

This section does not limit any user rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11) Consent

By tapping “Agree,” you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

12) Governing Law

The Japanese version of these terms is the official version. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from or related to this app between the developer and a user shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Okayama District Court as the court of first instance.
